| Meetings |
| Caffler Room 1, Forum North, Rust Avenue, Whangarei 2nd Tuesday each
month except January. The doors open at 7:30pm and the meeting commences
8:00pm. All meetings have a session of items of interest provided by members and also a one page display on a set subject or letter of the alphabet which is not judged. We also have a sales table which is available before the meeting and at intervals during the meeting. |
| Stamp Fairs |
| We will be holding one Stamp Fair this year. This will be held at the
St Johns Uniting Church Hall, Kamo Road, Whangarei on Saturday 1 May between 9am and 4pm. |
| Combined Meetings |
| These are held in combination with the Kaitaia Stamp Club and Keri Keri
Stamp Club as a combined meeting for all members of the Association of
Northern Philatelic Societies. The 2008 meeting is to be held on 21 June at the Caffler Room, Forum North, Whangarei. |
| Club Trophies |
| The Society runs a number of competitions throughout the year. Members
compete for the following trophies: Kotahi Cup: traditional competiton for experienced competitors up to 16-pages. Entries due in May. Miller Cup: traditional competition for novice entrants up to 16-pages. Entries due in May. Postal History, Thematic (prize provided by NZ Post) and Social: up to 16-pages. Entries due in November for presentation at the Christmas meeting. |

| The Society's library contains many excellent reference books which are readily available for your use. |
Northland 2007 - National Exhibition |
| The National Exhibition Northland 2007, organised by the Whangarei Philatelic Society, was held in Whangarei from 30 March to 1 April
2007 at Forum North. The classes at the exhibition were traditional, postal stationery, open and national 1-frame. There was also invited displays of Northland postal history, a lot of which has never been exhibited. Details of the awards gained by exhibitors can be found at Northland 2007. | Subscriptions for the year October to September (as last notified) are as follows: |
| Town Members | $20 per annum |
| Town Family Members | $30.00 per annum |
| Country Members | $15.00 per annum |
| Country Family Members | $27.50 per annum |
| Members joining from 1 March only 50% of subscription is payable. |
